Celebrate the arts in downtown Knoxville during the Market Square Art Fair as several city blocks are transformed into a lively street fair! Fine art and craft, live entertainment on three stages, a culinary arts demonstration and tasting area, A Children’s Creation Station, and festive food characterize this fan-favorite featured event of the Dogwood Arts Festival.
The Market Square Art Fair is a juried show with over 70 local and regional artists exhibiting and selling their original work. In addition to the artists areas in Market Square and Krutch Park extension, a culinary arts experience awaits attendees. Cooking demonstrations, festive food creations, and delicious wine tasting will be featured in the Culinary Arts areas. Enjoy live entertainment all weekend long on the Market Square stage, the Union Avenue pop-up stage, and the Krutch Park stage geared towards children. Join us for a spring celebration of our region’s arts, culture, and natural beauty in the heart of downtown Knoxville!
Market Square, located in the center of downtown Knoxville, was the site of the city’s original marketplace, established in 1854. With the Art Fair, Market Square’s identity as the city’s communal centerpiece carries on into the 21st century.

A little bit about Rich Arnold, Winemaker for Robert Mondavi…
Rich Arnold heads the production of the Robert Mondavi Winery white wines which includes Chardonnay, Fume Blanc, and Moscato d’Oro. As a member of the winemaking team for more than 30 years, Rich has been extensively involved in both wine production and research.
Rich graduated from the University of California, Davis, with both a Bachelor of Science degree in fermentation science and Master’s degree in food science with a sensory science specialty. Prior to joining Robert Mondavi Winery in 1974, he worked at the University of California, Davis, and was later part of a sensory group, headed by UCD Professor Ann Noble, that developed the original Wine Aroma Wheel. His scientific background and extensive winemaking experience provide the expertise for his innovative research at Robert Mondavi Winery.
A little bit about Lisa King and Elizabeth King from GAC’s “Farm Kings”…
The Kings raise chickens, pigs, and cows, and grow 40 varieties of produce on their 150 acres. The family owns a bakery and the Freedom Farms Cafe that serves home cooked meals and sells Lisa’s prepared foods.
Lisa King, better known as “Mama Bear Lisa”, is the matriarch and glue of the King family. When her time in the kitchen is done, she’s off to the fields to cut flowers and arrange them for weddings and parties.
Elizabeth King, nicknamed “Bitty” by her brothers, is the second oldest and only girl in the King family. After spending every year working on the farm, Elizabeth took a year off to get some distance from the stress of the family business and to attend the Pittsburg Culinary Institute.
