Student Art Show 2008
The Dogwood Arts Festival 2008 Student Art Show was developed to provide a forum for student artists to compete and display their work. The
selected art features both traditional and non-traditional work and will be exhibited at The Phoenix in downtown Knoxville
and Farragut Town Hall from Wednesday, April 2 – Friday, April 18, 2008.

Open to all artists in grades 6-12. Submit only work completed within the last school year. Entries must be original works in the following categories:
- Painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media);
- Graphic Arts (pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, conte, colored pencil, and printmaking);
- 3-D (sculpture, ceramic, and fibers);
- Photography (color, black and white, digital).
Awards
include a one Best-of-Show Award and two Jurors Citations in both High School
(9-12 grade) and Middle School categories (6-8 grade) as designated by the
juror(s), whose decision is final.
- Best of Show receives $250 for the student and $250 for the teacher.
- Jurors Citations receive $125 for the student, two for grades 6-8 and two for grades 9-12.
Awarded works will be used in the 2009 Dogwood Arts Festival publicity materials. Winners of the 2008 Student Art Show will be featured on the Dogwood Arts Festival Parade float on Friday, April 11th in downtown Knoxville.
