  • Parker Andes (Horticulture Director at Biltmore Estate)
    • Parker Andes is the Horticulture Director at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. He will give guests a behind the scenes look at what it takes to maintain the gardens and landscapes at Biltmore to keep George Vanderbilt and F.L. Olmsted’s original design intact. With thousands of visitors everyday and over 8,000 acres to maintain, this is no small feat. Parker received his BS in Plant and Soil Sciences in 1980 from West Virginia University.

    • Chelsea Faulkner is a design and entertaining editor for HGTV.com, a wannabe historian and an admirer of cozy, traditional interiors. In her spare time, you’ll find her up to her elbows in potting soil, binging a new podcast series, or on the hunt for creative ways to keep a toddler entertained. Other interests include: Karaoke, freezer meals and perfecting her iced coffee recipe.

Sesame Street 50th Birthday Bash: Creation Station Schedule

Presented by:

East Tennessee PBS and ORNL Federal Credit Union are bringing the Sesame Street 50th Birthday Bash to the Dogwood Arts House & Garden Show! Familiar characters from the world’s most iconic street will be at the Knoxville Convention Center February 14-16th for a birthday bash and character meet and greets for the whole family. Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby will be in attendance.

With a mission to help kids everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder, Sesame Street has brought the life-changing benefits of early learning to children across the globe for 50 years. Character meet & greets are scheduled all weekend long and the Birthday Bash will take place on Friday, February 14th from 2-5PM; complete with a dance party, birthday treats, character photo ops, and more. The ORNL Federal Credit Union Creation Station will feature crafts, an indoor play area, hands-on activities, and the opportunity to paint Ms. Pig E. Bank.

Character Meet & Greets are included with admission to the House & Garden Show.
