Ball With Spikes

My public art series is driven by the sphere form and its presence in nature. The spheres range in size from gumball to boulder size. I am intrigued with repetition in nature and the images used in these sculptures allow me to create an appearance of volume without mass. The balance between positive and negative space is also a main concern in this work. My intent is for the viewer to interpret what is seen.
