Wind in the Waves

This piece is called Wind in the Waves. It is part of a series inspired by fire, water, and various storms. They are symbolic in nature, and each has a compelling personality. This piece is made of welded steel and is painted reflective blues. I cut the details from a 4" x 8" sheet of steel with a plasma torch. Welded them together, sandblasted the piece, and then painted it with various shades of blue to give it a shimmer in the light.
