Persephone-Bloom Where You Are Planted

In Greek mythology the seasons are explained by the myth of Mother Nature's daughter-Persephone, who was abducted to the underworld. The sadness of Demeter who missed her daughter so much that the plants stopped growing and the world grew cold. Zeus negotiated for the return of Persephone for half of the year (a simplified version of the myth) To me, this sculpture is a metaphor for the optimism of Spring, hence a giant Peony flower made of many legs.
