About the event

Hikes & Blooms: William Hastie Trout Lily Hike

Experience: Part of Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness, William Hastie Natural Area is a wooded park with over 6 miles of trails for hiking, trail running and mountain biking.  The yellow trout lily (Erythronium americanum) is a common wildflower known for its mottled, trout-like leaves and single, nodding yellow flower that appears in early spring before trees leaf out. Come visit these short-lived spring beauties while they last!

John Kulka will lead two separate hikes. This is a ridge and valley hike with ascents and descents. Be prepared to walk two miles comfortably.

Location/Meeting Place: 1302 Margaret Rd. Knoxville 37920 (there are two parking lots, go to the end of entrance road)

Capacity: 8 Guests per group, Registration Required
