About the event

Intertwine: Curated by Isabella Thomas-Wilson

The Dogwood Gallery features monthly-rotating exhibitions by local and regional artists. Intertwine is a curated group exhibition that explores the gift-thinking practices of reciprocity and abundance and the idea that inter-community exchange is at the center of human life. Drawing from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s ecological philosophy within The Serviceberry, the works gathered here imagine economies of care over extraction, proposing futures shaped by shared responsibility, mutual flourishing, and the radical possibility of connection and collective becoming.

Robin Wall Kimmerer is a botanist, author, professor, and enrolled member of the Potawatomi Nation.
