Dogwood Arts Festival Named No. 3 ‘Best Art Festival’ in the Country in USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice 2024 Poll



The Dogwood Arts Festival has been voted No. 3 “Best Art Festival” nationwide in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice 2024 poll. Twenty festivals were nominated by expert panelists. Then, community members voted for the top 10 winners. This year, the Dogwood Arts Festival ranked among some of America’s largest and longest-running art festivals in cities including San Francisco, Greenville, Winter Park, Sante Fe, and more. 

From the very beginning, Dogwood Arts has been a community-driven initiative. We are so thankful to everyone who took the time to vote, earning the Dogwood Arts Festival recognition as one of the nation’s premier art events,” said Sherry Jenkins, Executive Director of Dogwood Arts. “Since 1961, the Dogwood Arts Festival has been one of the most celebrated cultural events in Knoxville — Now, people from across the country will be inspired to visit Knoxville to enjoy our annual springtime event!”

The Dogwood Arts Festival is joined on the Best Art Festival list by a diverse array of events from across the country. The top 10 include:

  7. Black & Brown Comix Arts Festival (San Francisco, CA)

  8. Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival (Winter Park, FL)

  9. St. Petersburg Fine Art Festival (St. Petersburg, FL)

  10. Art in the High Desert (Bend, Oregon)


 


The 2024 Dogwood Arts Festival will take place from April 26-28th in World’s Fair Park. The event will feature 100 fine art vendors, live art demonstrations and workshops, a culinary arts tent, over 40 live performances, food vendors, plant and flower sales, blooming beer gardens, a maker market, and free activities for the entire family. 


Dogwood Arts promotes and celebrates our region’s art, culture, and natural beauty with year-round events and programs like Chalk Walk, Featured Gardens, Southern Skies Music & Whiskey Festival, the Historic Dogwood Trails, and many more.
